Manny Pacquiao focused on defeating Shane Mosley, Dedicates fight to Japan

Over the last week, Shane Mosley has been publicly commenting on his chances of beating Pacquiao. Mosley said on Thursday that he would exploit Manny's weaknesses. Mosley has also said that he could KO The PacMan. On Saturday, Manny responded to Mosley's latest comments and told PhilBoxing.com that will not let the upset happen.

"Mosley will come to win, there’s no question about that. A win against me will be big for his career, but I am not going to let that happen. I have been preparing for any type of fight"

All reports from Pacquiao's training camp indicate that Manny is in excellent shape and ready to fight. Since Day 1, Manny has said he would train as hard as he can for this fight. Manny wasn't going to take Mosley light. Unfortunately, many Boxing pundits and fans see things differently.

Since the fight was announced, the majority of boxing critics and fans were protesting this fight as they thought that Manny was taking an easy fight. They perceived that Mosley was too old to fight Boxing's best especially after Mosley lost to Mayweather Jr. last May. However, despite the criticism, Manny believes that Mosley will be one of his toughest challengers ever.

Freddie Roach, Manny's trainer, believes that Pacquiao can finish off Mosley by the 6th or 7th round. I believe that Manny will most likely get the TKO in the later rounds. I see this fight shaping up allot like Manny's 2009 fight against Miguel Cotto, where by the end of the fight, Cotto was a beaten and bloody mess.

Manny almost always respects his opponents and has compassion for them especially after he knows he's beaten them in the ring. In addition to his in-ring compassion, Manny cares about those in need, especially his fellow countrymen. On Saturday, Manny also annoucned that he was going to dedicate his fight against Shane Mosley to Japan and all of those who were affected by the Tsunami. According to Philboxing.com, Manny made the following comments about his dedication:

“By the way, nasabi ko ito sa isang nag-interview sa akin. I am dedicating nga pala this coming fight, siyempre sa lahat ng ating mga kababayan. Iniaalay ko rin ito sa lahats ng nagging biktima ng nakaraang tsunami sa Japan."
